A girl wakes up in the ocean, amongst floating bodies and large chunks of metal. She is the sole survivor of a plane crash. She remembers nothing – her name, her family or anything about the world. A boy visits her in hospital and tells her he knows her. She is called Violet in hospital by the nursing staff because of her strange purple eyes, but the boy tells her her name is Sera – short for Seraphina.
When no family claim her she is released into foster custody. The boy appears again and again with small chunks of information about her past but she doesn’t believe him – even when she finds a tiny note in her ‘crash’ clothing, saying Trust him.
This is a touch of sci-fi, a touch of love-story rolled up in an action-packed thriller! Loved it.
