I liked this book. It was simple (not in a dumb way), nostalgic and sweet and although a little predictable I still wanted to finish it. It was different. The style of no speech marks didn’t faze me at all. It was obvious who was speaking. I enjoyed the connection between two characters many years apart and seeing what life was like for someone’s parents at the same age. Not so different after all. I’ve wondered what life was like for my parents when they were just kids – what they thought about, who their mates were etc. Haven’t you?
