Alex and Kate meet at a club after talking online. Alex is a tomboy, dressing in hoodies and jeans, and when she realises Kate thinks she is a boy, she doesn’t want to risk losing Kate by telling the truth. Torn between her guilt and growing love for Kate she does everything to ensure that Kate believes she is a boy. When asked by others if she is gay, she denies it strongly, but can’t dispute her feelings for Kate.
This was a moving story about love and identity, courage and about teens dealing with a minefield of issues – love, friendship, guilt, sexuality, and family.
