Bat and Kiwi are back in superhero mode in the New Zealand bush.
They leap into action when a cry is heard through the bush.
“Help! Emergency!”
They find Tuatara distressed after a sighting of a mighty moa.
“There are no moa, e hoa,” says Bat.
But Tuatara is adamant about what he saw.
Again and again, Tuatara experiences this huge bird, known to be long gone from Aotearoa’s forests. Batkiwi aren’t listening however, believing Tuatara is seeing things in the night.
Even when they find a special message from Tuatara and his mystery visitor, they still don’t believe…
It’s so cool to have a pair of superheroes that hail from the New Zealand bush. Bat and Kiwi have teamed up for their 2nd adventure of this series.
Illustrated in earthy tones, we are taken deep into Batkiwi’s world once again. Readers will learn a little about the mighty moa, long gone from our shores – or is it?
They will sympathise with Tuatara when no-one believes his fantastical stories, and laugh when Batkiwi try to work out his woes.
Great kiwi fiction for kiwi kids.
