Toes! We can all look down and see our own, wherever we are in the world, but Island Toes is a celebration of Pacific Island Toes.
They are tan or pale or sunburnt toes.
They are clean or stinky or painted toes.
They are jandal, flipper or goodnight toes.
So many toes, doing so many things, but everywhere we go are our toes. Busy, resting, swimming, snorkling or wheelchair toes.
A toe tale told in English and Samoan in between images of lots and lots of colourful toes. A special book for children of all Pacific Island nations, and a perfect bilingual ESOL resource.
Originally published in Hawai’i, now Island Toes can be enjoyed in Aotearoa New Zealand.
There is a short glossary at the rear of the book, but just before that is a place to leave your own toe prints inside the book. Use mud or paint or trace them with a pen!
