Now that Grumpy Mole is no longer grumpy, (see the 1st book) he has invited all his new friends to his underground home for afternoon tea.

He has cake and a big teapot for everyone’s cuppa, but his home isn’t big enough!

There are the fairies, bugs, butterflies and mice, and it’s a bit crowded with everyone inside.

He pops down to the shop to see if there is something that might help with the problem. When he sees a brand new bright yellow digger, he is very excited!

The (once) Grumpy Mole is keen to start as soon as he’s saved up enough money. He won’t listen to the sales squirrel, or any of his friends, as he heads straight towards his house with a plan in mind.
