When Bear wakes up after his winter sleep, he wanders from his cave looking for something to eat. Just as he spots something, an egg lying in the grass cracks open!

“Hello Daddy!” says a tiny yellow bird.

“I’m not your Daddy. I’m a bear, and you look like a gosling.”

But no matter how many times Bear reminds the little goose, Gozzle set her eyes and heart on being a Gozzle-Bear.

Gozzle follows Bear up trees, into fields, across rivers, and she falls asleep with him in his cave at night.

The seasons pass and Bear still can’t go back to life on his own. By Summer, Gozzle is looking much more like a grown-up goose, and much less like a Gozzle-Bear. But it’s only another young goose that convinces her the truth.

Just when Bear had got used to sharing his life with Gozzle, she decides she likes hanging out with her new feathered friends instead.

Will she come back?

An adorable story about family, identity, and the passing of seasons. This shows the normal cycle of a goose from gosling to growing up to fly away for winters.
