Rabbit has decided to go for a swim. With his swim bag over his shoulder, he’s all good to go.
Unfortunately he doesn’t see the NO SWIMMING sign on the way.
When he reaches the water, there is already someone in there. Rabbit takes a second look. He’s a little concerned about the water being a muddy brown, but the swimmer assures Rabbit that it’s just churned up a bit.
Rabbit has never seen this swimmer before, and is intrigued to learn that it is a sea monkey. But then the sea monkey offers him carrots. Rabbit loves carrots.
While Rabbit is deciding, two other animals warn him about this particular swimming spot.
But surely it’s okay if there is someone swimming there already?
This is the sort of picture book that will make wee listeners cry out their own warnings to Rabbit, the longer they listen to the story and view what’s really happening.
In fact, warnings begin on the pages before the story even begins!
With a deliciously scary surprise that wee readers and listeners will see, this is a fun read for those who love a little monster or two between the pages.
NO SWIMMING is a companion book to NO CLIMBING and will equally thrill and delight.
