Bob is a small green creature who has been waiting in a little girl’s closet for 5 years. Livy was 5 when she told him to hide there, and now she has returned to her grandmother’s home in Australia. She is surprised to see him because she had completely forgotten he existed.

Shocked that he’s been waiting for so long, she renews her vow to him that she will help find out where he came from. Bob remembers everything from when she was 5, and with his memories and her now 10 yr old self, they work backwards to try and discover what happened back when she was just a little girl. How did they meet? Why was she completely wet through when they met? Did it have anything to do with her grandmother’s well – or is Bob just a figment of her imagination? An imaginary friend?

While Livy hides her rediscovery of her strange friend, her grandmother is dealing with the bank’s possible foreclosure on her beloved farm, a young boy goes missing and Livy’s memory is challenged over and over again.

A wonderful story about friendship, possibilities and loyalty, Bob was an enjoyable read. Told in both Bob’s point of view and 10 yr-old Livy’s, the mystery of the past was revealed slowly to a surprising conclusion.
