Titch loves slashing her homemade sword through the air, imagining herself as one of the heroes she has heard about in their historical stories. Life on the plateau in their little village isn’t exciting at all, and she wishes she could go on adventures – like Bravepaw the courageous mouse. But Titch’s mum would prefer that she concentrate on her chores and look after their pufflings. But at least Titch’s best friend Huckleberry understands her.
In a flash, their lives change as a stranger swoops in on a strange glider. Behind him are terrible beings that suck the colour and life out of you if they can touch you. This dashing stranger with his sword and staff, slashes at the worm like creatures, and smashes them with his staff. Titch and Huckleberry look on in horror as the creatures become too much for the glider pilot.
Titch jumps into action without thinking and saves the day. But afterwards she wonders how she did it? The stranger is in fact a prince, and he’s very grateful to Titch, even asking her to join him on a great quest.
Titch has wished for adventure, but now it is right in front of her, she’s not so sure….
The first in an illustrated junior chapter book series, Bravepaw is full of action, courage and a quest that must be completed to save an entire land from soul sucking worms!
