Charlie has a problem. He’s 9. He has a big brother in hospital. His parents are stressed. But none of these are the problem. The fact is, Charlie has just turned into a spider and is about to be eaten by the family cat!

This is just the first of many shocks where he morphs into some type of animal. He doesn’t know why he does it or what to do about it, but his best friend Flora is determined to work it out – with scientific deduction. She throws Charlie into her terrifying experiments to help him get his changes under control. He is soon to be in the school play and is mortified at the thought of changing in front of everyone while on stage!

All the while, his nemesis Dylan is determined to engineer his downfall, as he knows Charlie’s secret!

Although there is no chicken in this book, there are a lot of laughs, fabulously funny footnotes and a great story behind it all. The author speaks directly to the reader. Fun easy format and the 1st in a series.
