A farmer is working with his animals , Cow, Chicken and Pig. Holding his clipboard, the farmer asks them to respond to his question.
A cow goes….? MOO, replies Cow.
A chicken goes…? asks the farmer CLUCK, says the chicken.
A pig goes…?
But Pig isn’t going to play this game. His animals friends are bored with it too.
Pig bursts into dance and rhyme and says… DAZZLEHANDS!
The farmer is shocked and tries again with patience. Cow and Chicken perk up a little. What is Pig doing?
The same questions come, and so does MOO and CLUCK, but….
Pig is all about his DAZZLEHANDS
The farmer explodes, pleads, reasons, researches and begs some more, for Pig to OINK!
And just when farmer finally believes Pig has finally got it….
From the bright pink cover to the inside spreads with Pig doing ‘his thing’, this picture book is dazzling! We all know the Cow goes… and the Chicken goes… game, but this pig has completely different ideas from expectations – doing what comes naturally to him. The farmer goes bonkers with this unexpected turn of events – not coping with change at all.
The ending is hilarious as finally everyone is on board with Pig’s new way of doing things – or maybe not?
Young children will eat this up – especially if the one reading is prepared to mimic Pig in showmanship. DAZZLEHANDS!
