Sam has a predicament. He has to share a bedroom with his older brother who spends hours on his phone at night. Sam can’t get to sleep, and has heard about President Trump wanting to build a wall. Could a wall be the solution he needs?

He decides to write to Mr Trump, explaining the problem, and wanting to know how his wall was working out? Each letter shares a little more of Sam’s family life, and as time goes by, it’s family discussion and tolerance that saves the day.

A clever hardback sophisticated picture book showing that working together on a problem can alleviate tensions and mistrust. Whether it be within a family or between two countries, surely this applies worldwide.

The illustrations are fun and not disrespectful, and the text is in a clear handwritten-type font to portray Sam’s letter writing. This thought-provoking book is for 9 – 99 year olds. Simple and clever at the same time.
