Greg is back in another episode of his life. Lots is going on, including schemes to make money, tricks to get people to his yard sale and how to become a hero.

One night, his mum tells the family her Great Aunt Reba has passed away and left her an inheritance. Greg’s mind begins to spin with plans of how to spend the money, but his mum has other plans. Greg thinks her idea is super-boring, but he has to admit, the thought of a wrecking ball crashing into their house is going to be epic action!

Their family is tipped upside down by the renovations, and of course things don’t go to plan.

No.14 in this hugely popular series, and I have a confession. This is the 1st title the Wimpy Kid series that I have read (besides the new Rowley series by the same author), and I thoroughly enjoyed it!

Funny, clever, and brilliantly structured just like a comedy show, taking the reader through events and then touching back on them for more laughs; Greg is dealing with all the normal things a tween has to cope with in family life with his hilarious, (self-focused) spin and a huge house renovation and everything that can go wrong.

If you’ve never read one, dive in. Millions of fans are not wrong!
