One evening Etta is getting ready for her bath. But there is a surprise waiting for her.Etta and the Octopus Book Review Cover

Next to the bath is a strange suitcase with the name Oswald across it. Inside the bath is Oswald himself – a visiting Octopus!

Oswald is the last thing she expected to find at bathtime and she isn’t sure what to do about his impromptu visit. What she soon learns about Oswald is that he hogs the bathroom for aaaages, and likes to make a mess. He’s not very tidy out of the bath either.

It’s not long before Etta decides he has to go. Her messed up home, ink splattered clothes and cranky neighbours have not helped his case.

After putting up FOUND posters all over town, they have terrible results. Etta realises she must rethink this long-legged-bundle-of-trouble-problem.

With fun illustrations on every page, this junior chapter book is a whole lot of leggy fun. Finding an octopus in the bath sends young imaginations on a wild ride. Should it stay or should it go?

In the back of the book is a game mentioned in the story and also step by step instructions on drawing the star of the book – Oswald Octopus.

Great story for emerging readers.
