Finally admitting to his wolf friends who he really is, Faelen knows he must go and meet his father. Two friends join Tala and Faelen as they set off into the barren Lockjaw Mountains to face the fearless and ferocious Varg. The journey tests Faelen’s body and inner fears and meeting his father for the first time is worse than he ever imagined.

They are soon fleeing for their lives, tired, hungry and scared. Lost and far from home, they talk about their battle. What was the small fiery creature that had aided their escape? Could it really have been a dragon?

Faelen’s journey and return to his pack reveals more about his past and his parent’s plight. Suddenly he is facing another mission to save a loyal friend’s family.

Can he face this new challenge? Will Varg come for him in the war brewing between their Wolf Clans?

 

Having the 2nd episode on the shelves so soon after the 1st is brilliant for young readers. The 1st episode is getting to know Faelen and his pack, and this one is learning about his past and his parents.

A link between 1 & 2 is a small but fierce, fiery, feathered character, and the brewing war between Wolf Clans.
