Let’s go! There is a special event to get to. We will begin with our own legs…
This is the way we walk along,
walk along, walk along,
This is the way we walk along
on a sunny, funny morning.
More children join the fun…
Swish, Swoosh, Wish, Whoosh
on the way to the party!
They will glide, and trike with bells ringing. Biking, scootering and sailing, skating, riding and running. Everyone is going to the park.
Hip Hooray, there is a party today!
This award winning duo have given kiwi kids a story full of motion, movement, rhythm and rhyme. The culmination of groups of children using all sorts of methods of transport is a 5th birthday party in a city park.
Toddlers to new 5 years olds and beginning readers, will all love to listen or interact with the action on every page. The repetition of one page and then new sounds with each, will capture and hold them until the birthday surprise at the end of the story.
The bright illustrations full of energy and activity will also hold young listeners or readers and spark anticipation of what method of transport will be next? This could be made into a fun game of trying to guess, right up until the end which could culminate in a treat at home or morning tea at kindy or junior school.
Lots of fun.
