“What’re you gonna do, Gilbert?”Fluff Book Review Cover

Gilbert hates these words. Especially when a school bully named Carl is saying them.

What it usually means is that Carl has done something awful to Gilbert again, and he’s challenging Gilbert to do something about it.

But Gilbert isn’t like Carl. He doesn’t want to fight back. He doesn’t yell and scream, at least not so anyone can hear him. But when he sees his undies hanging from the school gate and all the way up the street, Gilbert decides enough is enough.

That night after school, Gilbert sits down with his best friend Fluff (who just happens to be a giant rabbit) and they begin brain storming. How will they stop Carl pulling pranks on Gilbert?

The ideas are wild, and just the thought of them makes Gilbert feel better, but finally they come up with a plan.

And so the Gilbert – Carl war begins.

Revenge is sweet the first time, but Carl retaliates, and Fluff and Gilbert do too. Back and forth with one prank after another. But this isn’t really solving anything.

But wait- hang on! What if they did…nothing?

A new series from a Master of Laughs is here. Fluff is targeted at kids slightly younger than his Funny Kid series, with less text but still with all the laughs and solid story behind it.

The imaginative revenge that Gilbert and his giant bunny Fluff dream up are hilarious, and with the illustrations that back them up, are laugh-out-loud-funny.

The results are funny too, although not so much for the bully!

But sometimes the solution is the most simplest thing to do – nothing!

Loved it.
