Grandude has four grandchildren staying over one rainy day, and they’re all bored. He shows them a few postcards of faraway places and times, and produces a compass. Before they know it, they’re all inside one of the postcard places.

Excited and amazed, they enjoy the sand of a beach, a trip back in time, and magical flying creatures. Everything isn’t all wonder though. There are dangers too!

Inspired by his grandchildren, Rock legend Paul McCartney has written his second book for children.

Hey Grandude, came from one of his grandkids calling him Grandude instead of Grandad one day, and the name stuck.

Paul thought this was quite a fun name and jotted some ideas down….
