Friends Kai, Harry and Charley are on their way to a martial arts contest at Folksville County Fair.Kung Fu Roo Book Review Cover

They’ve only just settled into their seats on the train, when a strange request comes over the speaker system. Oh no! There are train robbers on board. But something even worse is coming their way, and this time it’s from the sky.

BAAAAM!

Kai wakes up in hospital and soon realises he feels different. What the heck had happened on that train? He’s keen to catch up with his friends to see if they’re okay. When he does get to see them, they admit that they feel strange too.

Their new skills are soon put to the test in another robbery – this time much closer to home and Harry.

The very first Anh Do full-colour graphic novel.

From the first page to the last is action, friendship and a mystery to solve. What happened to three martial arts mates on a train? A connection with animals just makes this story even more appealing to readers.

The graphic illustrations are uncluttered and clear, making it easy for young readers to experience their first graphic novel, split into chapters.

A new crime fighting team is in town and knowing the talented and prolific Anh Do, there will definitely be more Kung Foo Roo stories to come.

What animal would you choose to meld with? What powers would you choose to inherit along with your animal?
