Little Roo doesn’t want to go out with his Mum today. He’d rather stay home with his toy friends than meet new ones.

Off he goes in his mum’s pouch to a sunny field with fresh air and juicy green grass. “There are other joeys playing,” encourages his mum. “It’s a lovely day.”

Still, Little Roo doesn’t want to meet the other joeys, or does he?

Mum spies another who looks too shy to join in, and slowly but surely Joey finds his courage to go and say hello.

A sweet story for young children who are reluctant to try new things.
