Sixteen short stories by New Zealand authors. Some are talented emerging writers, while some are from our richLIT:Stories from Home Book Review Cover literary past. This mix of kiwi scribes takes the reader back in time, (Katherine Mansfield, Elsie Locke and Frank Sargeson), and also captures more recent snatches of New Zealand life and experience.

The diversity is wide, as is Aotearoa’s, and immersing myself in different cultures, lives and memories throughout LIT: Stories from Home, let me see through another’s eyes, step into another’s shoes.

Identities within Identity, School Zones and Paradise, A Choice made, and a Realisation dawning. A Kiwi Christmas, and Suckered arms, a Kindness killed and a Beach tragedy. All are slices that draw you in and then leave again after you’ve met, felt, and pondered loss, pain, family and hope.

This collection has been collated in such a way that secondary teachers can use it at different year levels from youngest to more senior students. LIT: Stories from Home is also a collection that can be explored in English, Social Studies, and History classrooms.
