Sunny the Meerkat is a little confused. His family are preparing their sandy burrow, decorating the cactus and making decorations out of desert creatures. But that’s not how Christmas looks in a magazine he has. His Perfect Magazine-Xmas Extra shows snow and tinsel and Christmas trees, and a whole lot of other stuff Sunny’s family doesn’t have.

Sunny decides to go and look for the perfect Christmas.

He travels the world, writing cards back home to his family about what he discovers. Everywhere he goes has something from the Perfect Magazine-Christmas list, but he still can’t find the perfect christmas. Until he actually stops on Christmas Eve. Now he understands what makes Christmas perfect!

With Emily Gravett’s signature style, this story is portrayed through gorgeous full colour pages, full of adorable creatures Sunny meets on his travels. There is a real life card to be opened (flap), for every place he stops, and a poignant ending.

A wonderful addition for any Christmas collection.
