Mitzi is a lamb who loves to dance.
The best place to do this is in the meadow near her home. Her mum reminds her of the safety rules she must remember.
“Always take a friend with you.”
and Dad gives her a wee reminder too.
“Don’t talk to strangers.”
Mitzi has heard all of this before, and dances out the door.
But her friends are busy. Without another thought she heads for her special dancing meadow. She swirls and swoops, sways, dips and dances all the way. When she catches sight of a stranger watching, her parent’s safety rules are suddenly loud in her head. What to do?
Mitzi is a beautiful dancer, but she’s clever too. This stranger wolf called Rolf is no match for her.
She has only one thing to say as he asks question after question.
“Oh no, no, no. THAT’S PRIVATE!”
A modern spin on the stranger danger tale of Little Red Riding Hood, including digital safety.
Mitzi is a fun loving dancing lamb, which will capture younger children, and the funny conclusion (which made me laugh out loud), is aimed at parents and older children. Between these layers is the reminder for children to keep their names, addresses, ages, and emails etc private.
Would make a great read aloud in a classroom of 6+, to kick off important discussions in the classroom and at home.
