Siblings Jack and Ava Ward can’t wait for their dragons to arrive. The Dragons at Home Project Dragon Mover Naughty Dragons Book Review Coverdrives up with sure signs of what is to come. Loud screeching and thumping comes from within the van and suddenly a blast of fire smashes through the front windscreen. The driver flees and two small dragons burst from the van.

One blue and one green, they race around the children and the farm, also excited to be there and out of the hatchery. Only when a dragon inspector arrives with the words, “NAUGHTY DRAGONS!” do they finally stop their destruction.

Now much calmer, the dragons are introduced. Graun and Fafnine are to spend a trial period with the Ward family before they are all proven suitable. They are left with one rule. Do not leave your dragons alone!

It’s not long before Mum and Dad wonder if they’ve made a mistake. Especially after a fully grown and dangerous wild dragon nearly snatches Ava. Jack and Ava plead to keep their new friends, but soon their parents aren’t the only ones watching Graun and Fafnine for any sign of trouble.

Captain Travers from the Dragon Emergency Service is on the hunt for the rogue dragon, and has seen the mischief Graun and Fafnine have caused. He’s looking for any chance to send the young dragons back to the hatchery.

Even after such a short time, Jack and Ava couldn’t imagine losing their dragons. They must all summon their courage when the wild dragon returns. It has lost something and Fafnine knows what. What has she done?

I must admit – it was the colourful illustration on the cover that drew me to this book, and the superb illustration (black and white) continues throughout the story. The excitement, exuberance and action is alive on every page.

These dragons are very naughty, and will make you think about ever wanting one for a pet. The first in a new series, there is more action, fun and destruction on the way.
