Gabby, Priya and Mindy are best friends. Mindy and Piya are a year ahead of Gabby at Primary School, but their shared adoration of animals has brought them together.

They also share the disappontment of not being able to have any pets, due to parent allergies, landlord’s rules or having a dad who is a neat freak.

Putting their heads together, and after several other failed plans to spend time with animals, they come up with PAWS – a dog walking business.

All is well at first, if not exhausting and time consuming. The friends soon discover it isn’t going to be quite as smooth as they imagined.

PAWS made m laugh out loud, cheer the character’s efforts and feel for them as their friendship fractures.

The illustrations are in full colour and portray real life situations, family dynamics and pure emotions of joy, fear, disappointment or all out gross moments that must be dealt with (dog poop).
