Rabbit asks his best friend Bear, ‘Where do trees go for the winter?’
‘Trees stay exactly where they are,’ answers Bear, yawning after Rabbit woke her up.
Soon though, Bear is wondering whether she is right. Her favourite trees are missing. Gone! Chewed through by something with very large teeth!

The creature responsible isn’t worried at all about taking Bear’s trees, or drowning bird’s nest or even Rabbit’s burrow. He sees himself as hardworking and successful, and that’s all that matters. Bear and Rabbit try to make him see sense, even when Bear and Woodpecker are going to miss out on lovely treats from all the soon-to-be rotten trees under water.

‘Why would you do that?’ asks the creature.
‘Because Rabbit is my friend,’ says Bear.

Another funny tale of two unlikely friends and their lives together in the forest. Not only do they face up to a terrifying situation together, they have to teach someone the value of friendship, empathy for others and solutions to satisfy everyone involved.

With a touch of toilet humour, a bare bum and Rabbit’s usual drama, this episode will be just as popular as the three before it. The illustrations are gorgeous in tones of black, white and orange, portraying these character’s confusion, fears and wonder beautifully.
