Have you ever been to Pukekura Park in New Plymouth? There is so much to see. There is the boating lake and the Poet’s Bridge. There is a Band Rotunda, aRoss the Cat Book Review Cover playground and a natural amphitheatre for concerts too. Walk through stunning flower gardens, bush trails and visit the zoo too.

Pukeora Park is spread across 128 acres, and began in 1876.

There is another special feature in these gardens – a cat called Ross. He and his sister were adopted by a mum and her daughter after being found on the side of a rural road as kittens. Roaming the gardens is his favourite pastime and Ross has become famous. He loves to join a picnic, or snuggle a shoulder or knee.

This colourful rhyming picture book was announced on International Cat Day (Aug 8) and has hit the shelves for his fans, cat lovers everywhere, and anyone who loves a fun, rhyming rhythm in a read a loud for small children.

There are two added bonuses. There is a Search-and-Find for Ross throughout the pages of the book. Can you find him lurking in the background?

There is also a QR code to scan to take you to the text of the book in song format and also instrumental-only format, so you can read or sing it aloud yourself!

Brilliant!
