Becca is missing. Some say she ran away with her troublesome boyfriend. Some say she is lost in the Briar Glen Woods. After all, wasn’t there another strange disappearance many years before? The woods aren’t normal says the legend. The woods hold a road that must be travelled to find the missing girls.

Sara has distanced herself from her friends and family, grieving the loss of her beloved big sister, Becca. Sara knows the legend of a local girl called Lucy Gallows and when and how she vanished. It’s soon a year to the day since Becca disappeared and Sara believes this is important. When a strange text flies around their school, all fingers point at Sara. It invites anyone to ‘Play the game. Find a partner. Find a key. Find the road.’

Sara has packed a bag with a torch, snacks, water and pulled on her hiking boots. She is going to find the mystical road in the town’s woods, and then she is going to find her sister. When Sara was younger, she was part of a group who called themselves The Wildcats. They did everything together, and when Sara goes to the woods, her old friends are there too – to support her and find Becca if they can.

The Road however, is no ordinary road. It has rules. It vanishes underfoot, under water, under sand, and in a darkness blacker than coal. If you leave the road, there will be consequences. This road has gates you must pass through, but you have to find them first. Then maybe, but only maybe, will you reach the end and emerge with what you seek.

A creepy thriller, interspersed with video footage and dialogue taken on cellphones, interviews, written testimonies and memories. What happened in the dark? Are the people who emerged, the same people who went in? Blair Witch fans will love this!
