The Wilson family is on the hunt for new ponies againShowtym Adventures (8) Syd, the muster pony Book Review Cover.

Vicki (the eldest), is also on the lookout for a Grand Prix pony to be bought by her sponsor for competition. These ponies are much more expensive and hard to find, but Vicki is determined. When they find suitable ponies in the Horse Trader magazine, they decide to make their viewing part of an extensive NZ road trip for the entire length of the country.

Preparing for months away, they sign up for correspondence lessons, pack what they’ll need, along with two of the ponies they already own.

The Wilson family are excited to embark on an adventure together. They meet many kind strangers, seals, a giant eel and more ponies on their trip, but will they find just the right ponies for each of them?

The eighth and last story in the Showtym Adventure Series, this episode takes the entire family from one end of New Zealand to the other. Just as planned, they ride on beaches and high country stations, even helping muster cattle and sheep.

Perfect for any animal lover, this series is based on the lives of the Wilson family and always includes helpful hints for young horse owners at the rear of the book. This book includes over a dozen tips for preparing a pony for travel. Pencil sketch illustrations are throughout the story.
