Sophia loves helping around her house even when she’s very young and then also helping others, alongside her beloved Abuelo. But when he is hurt one day at a local landfill, young Sofia decides to do something about it.

A park! That’s what they needed. Get rid of the rubbish and build a beautiful park for the community. She has lots of supporters but when it came to talking to the powers that be, Sofia is all alone.

After many diverts and distractions, Sofia finally finds the right people to talk to – and she’s ready!

Another cleverly rhymed and beautifully illustrated story in The Questioneers Series (Iggy Peck and Rosie Revere). This time, a little girl sees a problem and wants to do something about it. In fact, she’s determined to do something! Her neighbours believe she is so driven, she could be the president one day.
