A young boy called Cam wonders about the sea, longing to see it for himself. His Grandfather claims they will go one day….

One day, Cam is watching a trickle of water when he hears its song for the first time. “Come with me, Come with me, I will take you to the sea.”

At last, Cam’s wish has come true and he follows the trickle until it becomes a creek,  a stream, then a river. The river keeps singing, growing bigger and busier, leaving Cam in awe of the creatures who live in it and the towns, then industry that hug its banks.

The river completes its promise to him as he finally finds himself running along the sand to reach the sea.

The conclusion after reaching home again is perfect for kicking off conversations about circles of life and nature, how rivers are used and needed by many creatures including humans and and how we all rely on water. Gorgeous!
