Max and his Special Forces Cadets team are attending a meeting with Sir Alistair Sinclair, the British Ambassador to Brazil. His teenage son Tommy is missing, last seen entering the most dangerous favela in the city of Rio de Janeiro. Thought to be sourcing drugs, Tommy is labelled a ‘problem’ child by his father who is desperate to get him home safe.

Sir Alistair is initially angry when meeting the Team, believing them too young to be entering the favela, let alone facing the many gangs and corrupt police force that rule it. The Watchers (team leaders) Angel and Woody assure the ambassador that these teens are his best hope.

With three missions behind them, the Special Cadets work together seamlessly, but this rescue will test their skills, their courage, and their trust in one another. They are in danger almost immediately, and the warning to trust no-one is tested early.

What they don’t realise is their own leader’s lives are suddenly under threat, Tommy is not who his father says he is, and more than one rescue will be needed.

With danger possible at every corner and from every rooftop, the Special Cadets steadily make their way through the favela. Gangs run these sprawling slums and will kill for profit, if suspicious or even for fun. Max and his team are cornered again and again, testing their special skills to achieve their mission.

Another non-stop, action-packed episode in this series. Ruthless catapults the Special Cadets into a dangerous Rio de Janeiro favela run by vicious gangs and corrupt police. This new mission morphs quickly into more than they expected, pushing their skills to the max. An explosive climax sees a squad member shot, another left behind, and the realisation they may not all be leaving this time. Fantastic!
