This time Lili, Max, Lukas, Sami and Abby are on holiday in Stanley, the capital of The Falkland Islands. At leastHijack Book Review Cover that’s the idea they want to give the locals. Surveillance of the area has the British government worried about another attack and attempted take over by Argentian forces.

The Special Cadets know that more than 900 people died in the 1982 Falklands War, and they are to watch for any signs of this happening again. A drunken farmer has reported seeing men in black emerge from the sea at night. The locals scoff at him, but British Forces are taking it seriously.

Whale watching, hiking and bird watching are on the cadet’s list, as they try to look like tourists. Being caught snooping around an old radar post wasn’t in the plan, and neither is the knowledge that someone is watching them.

Their safe surveillance trip quickly becomes deadly. Two cadets are caught, beaten, bound and vanish off the beach, like the men in black.

The cadets left behind are in shock, only their training keeping them from spiraling into a blind panic. They must get their friends back! Just as they have a plan in place, The Falkland Islands are under attack again. Will their friends be collateral damage?

Hijack begins quietly and calmly as the Special Cadets ‘holiday’ in Stanley, the capital of The Falkland Islands. By day they lounge on a boat, but by night they are in full stealth mode, slithering through the darkness to check out a strange sighting.

Bang! We are back in Special Forces Cadets Series excitement as a nail biting situation holds them silent and shocked, before they can return to safety. Any thoughts of a safe surveillance mission are thrown in the sea along with two trussed up cadets.

I always enjoy the way this series and these trained cadets have to face things that don’t go to plan. In this episode, the only thing that is on their minds is to get their friends back. They don’t know whether they’re alive or dead – but they’re going after them or die trying. A simmering relationship sparks into life when so much is at stake, as a potential war builds around them all. Every episode is different, and every episode is an exciting read!
