Lucy’s special skill with ghosts is growing stronger, and with it her confidence as part of the team of three that is Lockwood & Co.

She’s keen to try her building talent out, even if it is against the rules to try and talk to spirits. Surely it is worth the risks if she can connect more with visitors? But the dynamics of Lockwood & Co are about to change. They have been so busy after their past successes, that the house is a tip, the hours are long, and general organisation is near nil.

Lockwood’s solution is Holly, a pretty, super efficient, agency assistant. Holly drives Lucy insane with her perky politeness, immaculate appearance and the way she has Lockwood and George tripping over themselves for her. Jealousy simmers unchecked.

Meanwhile, Chelsea has been inundated with spectres, wraiths, and every other type of visitor. Deaths have occurred, including agents and the public. DEPRAC has thrown dozens of agents at the problem, with no marked improvement for months. Lockwood & Co however, were never asked to help, which they cannot understand. George digs deeper into the problem after being given some maps on the outbreak, and soon they are tackling the strongest ghosts they have ever seen.

Tackling the source not only threatens their lives, it brings to a head tensions between Lucy and Holly, and also Lucy’s friendship with Lockwood. It spurs Lucy into an important decision….
