Peggy the pug’s owner can’t cope with her puppy ways anymore and she is abandoned at a dog shelter. Luckily for Peggy, there are foster
families who will look after her over the Christmas period, and she goes home with Chloe, Finn, Ruby and their parents.
Finn is still missing their old dog who was a Saint Bernard, and doesn’t consider tiny Peggy a real dog at all, and Chloe is more interested in Unicorns. Peggy is keen to stay with this family who understands when she chews something she shouldn’t or has toilet accidents. Peggy does her best around Finn and keenly wishes she could be a Unicorn, like the magical Sparkalina shows the girls watch on TV – then surely they’d like her more too.
In all her attempts to become one, she comes to realise all she needs to stay is to be herself.
A cute Christmas story that any animal lover will enjoy, with black and white illustrations showing Peggy’s adventures with her new family.
