Meet Mac from the planet Tenalp, a gazillion miles away from Earth. He now lives on our planet because somethingThe Super Weirdos Book Review Cover terrible happened to his own.

Mr Mac isn’t lonely though, as he has alien friends nearby. Yes! It’s true. There are aliens living right here on Earth!

All Mac’s mates have super powers that make them even more Super Weird.

There’s Scotty, Wayno, Hunter, and Forest. Including Mac, they can control minds, summon random objects at will, swing between buildings on a single hair, take HUGE leaps from one spot to another, and one of them can be really, really, REALLY, annoying.

This mismatch of alien beings (that look very human) have to combine their talents, along with a couple of cool Earth kids, to stop the complete annihilation of Earth by another alien (also human-like) called BASH.

Bash not only wants to destroy Earth, he steals kid’s scooters!

Written by Andrew Macdonald (aka Mr Mac), a NZ teacher who loves nothing more than making learning fun.

This 1st book in this series is full of gags, imaginative super powers, toilet humour, and extreeemly important – Alien Secret No.1. There is a handy glossary in the back of alien terms throughout the book, funny hand drawn pictures among the chapters and teacher resources available too.

It isn’t hard to imagine students rolling off their chairs laughing as their teacher reads this aloud – all sound effects and speech patterns are a must during the action – and kids will love this at home too.

Important Note: For more Alien Secrets, look out for No. 2
