Not only is today the day, but her mum and dad have let her go to the bookstore on her own. Philomena might be smart, 12 years old and responsible, but she is hovered over by her paranoid parents constantly.

At the store, Philomena receives terrible news and must return home without the book. At first, with disappointment filling her thoughts, she doesn’t notice someone is following her. Strange lightning appears out of nowhere along with a weird cackling. What the heck?

The stranger behind her looks just like a character from the books. Surely he’s just a fan dressed up?

He has an amazing story – one Philomena cannot ignore. Suddenly she is not only mourning the final book in her favourite series, she is living it!
