The Class that Wouldn’t EndToo Pig to Fail Book Review Cover

Maths class is no fun for Gary Pig or Carl Fishington. Only their friend Brooklyn Bat seems to relish the thought of a whole hour of fractions. But when the class seems to drag on and on and on, even Brooklyn can see something isn’t right. Their Maths teacher Mr Patel seems to be struggling with how much he has to teach to fill in the hour, and the clock doesn’t even look like it’s moving. What is going on?

Gary decides this is a job for Batpig. If only he didn’t have to ask for the tinkle pass to leave the room. But ask he does, and he’s off to investigate. Something has happened to the local clock tower and the school caretaker along with it. Has he finally snapped with all he must do at their school? Is revenge the only way out?

Aquarium Dreams

Carl is saving every cent he can for a flash aquarium to relax in. With its LED lights, memory foam bed and a hot tub, it’s Carl’s dream. On the way to the store, he reluctantly admits his nightmares to Brooklyn Bat. Carl is seriously scared of bumblebees and kittens. Brooklyn is gobsmacked but to Carl, bumblebees sting and kittens are pure chaos. Little do they know both are on their way…

Lights, Camera, Chaos!

Gary isn’t happy about not being able to wear his Batpig costume around the house, but his friends have complained about his stink. When he is caught short without it in an emergency, he has to resort to wearing another superhero costume. Two bored aliens have cruised past and decided to cause some chaos. Unfortunately it is bumblekitten chaos – Carl’s worst nightmare! His thoughts are the ones the aliens just happened to pick up and torture their town with.

Can Batpig save the day as the Crimson Swine, and will his hero worship wane when he meets his favourite movie star?

The second in this hilarious graphic novel series – in full colour! I laughed out loud at the antics and banter between best friends Gary Pig, Brooklyn Bat and Carl Fishington.

This graphic novel holds three stories – with themes of appreciation, friendship and hero worship, as these characters deal with time manipulation, saving up for something and bored aliens.

I love the illustration style, the great colouring and the clear and funny text throughout. Each story is split into chapters, so it can be savoured then read all over again.

Can’t wait for more adventures of Batpig.
