Three dump kids – Raphael, Gardo and Rat (Jun Jun) live on the edge of a pile of trash. They scavenge daily and sell anything worth selling for food. Until one day when Raphael finds a leather bag containing a wallet, photos and a letter with lines of numbers. When the police come looking, Raphael and his friends embark on a mission to find out what the mystery numbers mean, and who the wallet belongs to.

This book was based on children who live in and on the trash piles in Manila in the Philipines. This shocked me as I didn’t realise children like this existed so close to Australia and NZ.
This story has a fast moving plot with a great story.
