Hazel and Fiver live in a warren, ruled over by a fierce rabbit and his Owsla (rabbit soldiers). When Fiver has a nightmare about the warren he tells others, but they just laugh at him. He finally convinces Hazel and others to leave. They are frightened of the Owsla, but more frightened to stay.

Their journey takes them across fields, over rivers and roads, facing many dangers along the way. They make friends and flee enemies, and find their strength is working together and care for each other.

The 1972 book was a huge hit and made into an animated movie. This reproduction has used illustrations and pictures from the new Netflix TV mini-series. Gorgeous.
