For a long time, there were those who said women were not as equal as men. They should stay home, cook, clean and look after babies.

The more she tells her grand daughter Maggie about this, the higher Maggie’s imagination flies. Suddenly the old fashioned-dinosaur attitudes became dinosaurs themselves , stomping through their backyard or swooping through the air above them.

All fired up, Grandma tells Maggie even more terrible truths about women’s jobs and unequal pay. Soon Maggie is flying even higher to become an aspiring astronaut far from dinosaurs and ancient attitudes.

A fun, feminist tale telling the story of women’s battle through the ages for equality with men. An important topic is deftly handled with humour and dinosaurs swooping into the mix via main character’ Maggie’s imagination.

Colour illustrations throughout clearly show Gran’s passion, Maggie’s shock at past beliefs, and life in dinosaur days.
