Happiness is a wonderful thing, and different for everyone.
Sometimes its everywhere around us, and sometimes it’s a little harder to find.
Happiness is not something to be studied, bottled or captured. Happiness is sometimes like a slippery creature with it’s own ideas. When it runs off without you, don’t worry, you’ll find it again.
If you follow it, who knows where you might go or what might happen?
Then again, if you can’t catch it right away, down the path, it’ll be there waiting for you again.
In Where Happiness Begins, Happiness is portrayed as a ghost like figure, skipping and dancing across the pages, eating icecream, popping up from presents, or giving a hug. The illustrations are soft but clear with lots of white space. Sadness is portrayed as a shaded forest full of trees, but with a way through.
A beautiful way to talk to children about their feelings.
