Wonder is the story of 10 yr old August (Auggie) Pullman attending his first year at a normal school. Nothing special you might think? Totally normal? That’s the thing about Auggie. He feels completely normal on the inside but was born with a 1 in four million chance facial defect.

And so our view into his life begins – ‘I won’t describe what I look like. Whatever you’re thinking, it’s probably worse.’

‘Wonder’ is told in the different viewpoints of the people around him – His sister, friends, and other people who come into his life.

Loved it. It’s a powerful story about ‘Judging a book by its cover – or – ‘A boy by his face’, and also of the unfairness of Prejudice. Auggie is a wonderfully written character, and the other children’s viewpoints compliment that. Everyone should read this.
