The pressure is building for Kestrel to not only find clues, but keep the ones he has, safe. He’s also trying to perfect more tricks on his unicycle, so even on his days off – he must practice.

The clues are part of 10 that Monsieur Charles’ Circus must find to be able to attend the Circovention, where only the very best Circus’ come together. Monsieur Charles is planning on retiring and so the members of his circus are thinking ahead to what their futures might be.

Many things have gone wrong during their tour and the very person who is causing them is one of their own. He is being forced into it, but has had a change of heart. When Kes’ big brother Pierre receives a gift with PM engraved on it, they realise he is much closer than they think. Who could he be?

Tension is rising for Kes, Skye and Monsieur Charles himself. Despite finding the clues they need to save the circus, events and even the weather seem to be against them.
